Upon completing this course, participants will gain an understanding of various aspects related to property inspections, particularly focusing on termites and their impact. Realtors® will learn to differentiate between services not encompassed by standard home inspections, and understand the locations where termites thrive and the resultant damage they cause. This course will equip Realtors® with the ability to identify and categorize different termite types, recognize conducive conditions for termite infestations, and appreciate the significance of a Wood-Destroying Organism (WDO) inspection. 

Realtors® will gain insights into the methodology employed during termite inspections. Additionally, Realtors® will understand the limitations of WDO inspections and clarify the differences between various treatment methods.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Identify why you need a home inspection, understand Florida weather and typical inspection concerns, and properly recommend vendors without limiting choice.

2. Recognize what services are not part of the standard home inspection.

3. Realize where termites are found and what their associated damage is. Understand what a WDO is and how to identify the main types of termites.

4. Learn how termite inspections are performed and how termites are identified. Pinpoint limitations of WDO inspections.

5. Discover common dry wood termite entry points. Identify conducive conditions for termites and how to avoid them.

6. Compare different treatment methods and strategies. Negotiate the deal.

7. Have a better understanding of termites in general

9. Identify conditions that favor termite growth

10.Understand treatment strategies

11. Avoid losing deals unnecessarily

12. Increase customer satisfaction
